Teen Nation on Location offers teens the art of grassroots of community service, advocacy and promotion. This program teaches teens how to engage and connect with the community to promote a call-to-action or deliver a specific message. Teens are trained on messaging and on how to strategically deliver the message to a target audience.
The goal of Teen Nation Media Bootcamp is for every teen involved to become a better communicator by learning how to blend several types of methods in a concise message. This blend is a mix of new media (digital, editing, photography, lighting, audio and video) and traditional media (research, writing and reporting).
Radio Broadcasting gives teens a basic understanding of radio broadcasting. Programming, production, promotions and sales are the departments covered in this program. Teens also execute a one-hour on-air shift on Speaker.
Photography gives teens a basic understanding of photography and the power of capturing the moments of everyday life. Teens learn how to approach photography by carefully researching and selecting topics, detailing the tasks of an assignment, using imagination to visually alter the subject towards the goals of consistency and clarity. Through actual camera work, students also complete a number of projects that the Photography Team builds a stock photo database for Teen Nation and its media properties as well.
Our Sports and Fitness Program- Fitness in the Key of Life is designed to provide alternatives to teens who participate in organized sports. Teens are taught teamwork, good sportsmanship, game techniques, exercise and nutrition.

Editing exposes teens to the process of selecting and preparing written, visual, audible, and film media to convey information. The editing process will involve correction, condensation, organization, and many other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct, consistent, accurate and complete work.
